Traditional vs. DigitalIn my final year at Sheridan (art school) we worked with the talented and beautiful people at Rethink to promote our grad show. Our plan was to create hybrid illustration/info-graphics that represented or graduating class. My statistic was the percent of students who preferred to work hands on compared to digital. Illustrator to the Bone The illustrated man, full of ideas, colours and art supplies. I used this image, accompanied by the tag line “Illustrator to the Bone”, as a mailer to share my work. The purpose of the project was to create visually grabbing images while playing with the intention of advertisements. The mob’s interactions with the products are an example of how the viewer of the painting is supposed to react. The audience is a member of the mob and celebrating the product with them. There are 35 unique drink lids in total. I just loved how it gave the lids a physical presence and how the lids' personality was imposed over the wearers.
