		<description>.slideshow_nav { display: none !important; } .slideshow_nav a { display: none !important; } .slideshow_count { display: none !important; } .slideshow_thumb img { height: 120px !important; } Projects both small and large that I've been involved with recently. These projects encompass a range of applications for illustration. Nothing is better then using illustration in new and exciting ways.

Traditional vs. DigitalIn my final year at Sheridan (art school) we worked with the talented and beautiful people at Rethink to promote our grad show. Our plan was to create hybrid illustration/info-graphics that represented or graduating class. My statistic was the percent of students who preferred to work hands on compared to digital. My illustration was selected to appear on our grad merch, take a look!

Knee-Jerk and FriendsAn illustration for the good people at Knee-Jerk magazine. It was featured in their awesome offline edition. You can pick up a copy of this amazing publication soon!

&#60;img src="http://payload38.cargocollective.com/1/3/100662/3074269/KelseyKnee-Jerk_Web_o2_3_750.jpg" width="750" height="900" width_o="750" height_o="900" src_o="http://payload38.cargocollective.com/1/3/100662/3074269/KelseyKnee-Jerk_Web_o2_3_o.jpg" data-mid="15817147"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

Sneak AttackNot many people know this but I have a keen eye for fashion. Introducing "Sneak Attack" the messenger bag that is more then meets the eye. It was constructed and photographed by R2SD. Their website can be found here.

World of WorkFinding a job can be hard work. "World of Work" is an inner city school program built to help young people find jobs. I created a colorful, exciting poster to get kids excited about learning the all important skill of getting hired.

		<description>.slideshow_nav { display: none !important; } .slideshow_nav a { display: none !important; } .slideshow_count { display: none !important; } .slideshow_thumb img { height: 120px !important; } A sample of drawings just for myself. From digital to traditional, these images are some of my favorite and best work. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Illustrator to the Bone The illustrated man, full of ideas, colours and art supplies. I used this image, accompanied by the tag line “Illustrator to the Bone”, as a mailer to share my work. I’ve been happy with the results—it tied for highest scoring entry in the Applied Arts Young Blood category for their May/June 2012 Issue, and was selected as a Student Runner Up in Creative Quarterly Issue #27.

Saint FrancisI’m very inspired by the strange and wonderful imagery in medieval art. This image is a recreation of Bonaventura Berlinghieri’s “Saint Francis”. It was great to play around and reimagine it in my own style.

Sink HoleA meeting of worlds, where hand-drawn characters are caught in the syrupy digital oil. These poor trapped souls didn’t suffer in vain, though; Sink Hole was selected for CMYK’s Issue #51 (Top 100 New Creatives).

Monster BabyA painting from my sketchbook. It’s inspiration came from the human reproduction room at the Museum of Natural History in London.

		<description>.slideshow_nav { display: none !important; } .slideshow_nav a { display: none !important; } .slideshow_count { display: none !important; } .slideshow_thumb img { height: 120px !important; } This ain’t your sixteenth-century portraiture. I aim to create bold images that captures the subject’s unique flavour. To do this I fill the image with things important to them, and create a dense, personal collage of imagery.

James MercerA portrait the Shins frontman James Mercer. I created this illustration for the UK and France editions of MOJO Magazine. Mercer is surrounded by imagery from the lyrics on his new album, Port of Morrow. How many can you spot?

		<description>Herd Mentality is a series of mock advertisements using a mob of characters as a visual device. The purpose of the project was to create visually grabbing images while playing with the intention of advertisements. The mob’s interactions with the products are an example of how the viewer of the painting is supposed to react. The audience is a member of the mob and celebrating the product with them.

		<description>.slideshow_thumbs { display: none !important; }“Put a Lid On It” is a project about exploration, character and working within constraints. There are 35 unique drink lids in total. Most of these were borrowed from local fast food establishments, or kindly donated by friends (and yes, thoroughly washed).

Another series of photos were people covering their face with the lids. I just loved how it gave the lids a physical presence and how the lids' personality was imposed over the wearers. (Scroll through the slideshow below)

What started as a small project doodling on scraps of refuse totally took on a momentum of it's own. There might be more lid projects in the future, so stay tuned.
